Hex Hall - Rachel Hawkins Enjoyable. At first I wasn't sure about it. It fit my summer reading criteria, in that I am making an effort not to think too hard, because I am working all the time and it is way hot outside, but I didn't like the main character too much at first. One could sympathize with the decision to send her off to reform school, but I got sucked in, and it was a lot of fun. After a while, I grew to like Sophie a lot, and for a book about witches, demons, fairies and shape shifters, it was a surprisingly realistic teenage girl world.
